     Sheldon Verrett

Sheldon Verrett is the President of CHEMGEN LLC, a technical consulting company. He was borne and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended St. Augustine High School where he was a member of the fame Marching 100, the concert band and Jazz Ensemble, He obtained his B.S. Chemistry degree from Loyola University New Orleans and a B.S. Mechanical Engineering Degree from New Mexico State University. Prior to starting his consulting business, he held job titles of Vice President of Technology at a small chemical manufacturer and as the Technology Development Manager for the Americas for the DEQUEST Phosphonates business beginning with Monsanto to ITALMATCH Chemicals. Prior to beginning his career at Monsanto he worked as a Production Engineer for a major Oil Company designing various well stimulations applications. Upon his arrival at MONSANTO, he was assigned to Corporate Research where he was in charged with setting up a computer based analytical laboratory to aide him as he performed worked as a micro radiosynthesis Chemist synthesizing potentially new pharmaceutical and agriculture products. He was transferred to the DEQUEST/NTA Business units where he became involved with soap and detergents formulations and the various market applications where the DEQUEST Phosphonates are utilized such as: Oil and Gas, pulp and paper, metal cleaning, agriculture, water treatment, etc. Sheldon traveled the world for the DEQUEST Business providing technical assistance to customers globally in such areas as formulation development for cleaning products and other applications and assisting the sales and marketing teams with new market development by providing the technical expertise needed to created new products and a business plan. Throughout his career with the DEQUEST Business he was asked to developed new products or collaborate with customers to improve their processes and as a result he was awarded several process patents. He is known throughout the industry for his expertise in the use of organophosphonate chemistries in various applications from soaps and detergents formulations, cooling water formulations, RO, peroxy chemistry stabilization to scale inhibition in various applications. He is very much a team player and a hands on person who doesn’t mind getting dirty to get the job done. He enjoys a challenge and enjoys sharing and exchanging ideas with co-workers, customers and his closest friends. Sheldon has 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren and he enjoys gardening, woodworking, golf and cooking. He resides in St. Louis, Missouri with his partner of 10 years Pam Bischoff. He also enjoys listening to various music and traveling.
