     Keith Karl

The newest member of the ICONX Team, Keith Karl, brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge. In 1970, he attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia on an athletic football scholarship, which is where he also met his wife, Donna. They have been happily married for 49 years. They moved to New Jersey, where they raised their two children, Bradley & Alexander. They are also blessed with their two grandchildren, Alexandra & Bay Li. They remained in New Jersey until late 2021, from there they moved to the Gulf Coast of sunny Florida. Early in his career, Keith started at one the largest industrial & mill suppliers in the US, where he spent 10 years. He began there as a truck driver and eventually worked his way up through the company to an inside sales position (with a special products division). This products division specialized in fluid sealing devices, centralized lubrication systems, pumps, and chemical products. It was then he realized how much he enjoyed working and selling technical products, which led him to his next endeavor as the division sales manager. After a change in career paths, he took a sales position for a small general contractor where he was responsible for building an aftermarket air handler and cooling/heating coil replacement business. This opportunity led him to open his own sales rep firm, which utilized his product knowledge. From there he worked as a sales rep in the New York and New Jersey market for GILCIL, which manufactured water filtration products. He sold his company in 1989 to one of his sales reps and opened Water Resources Group. Water filtration became his new passion. WRG eventually became an independent direct contracted channel partner for Sonitek Inc., which manufactured Vortisand filtration systems. He continued his role at WRG through three mergers and Evoqua Water Technologies being the final acquisition. Keith saw a need to bring on a licensed Vortisand manufacture as a channel partner which is when he approached H2trOnics (acquired by AquaPhoenix Sci.) to become the licensed manufacturing partner. In 2017, Keith left EWT and was hired by AquaPhoenix as the filtration product & sales manager, which he was responsible to build the filtration product line offering. They developed their own NextSand filter line with great success. And, in mid-2022 AquaPhoenix was forced to transition out of the filtration business. Keith lives by the motto “Change is inevitable so don’t get stuck in a comfort zone you can die in. Embrace change and allow your passion to drive motivation”! Keith has been a member of the following organizations: National Power Engineers, NPE NYC Chapter 1, Association of Water Technologies (AWT), Cooling Technology Institute (CTI) and Kiwanis International.
